If an entrance or an exit is initially hidden, e.g. If an entrance or an exit is one way, it’s indicated in the marker popup.The map includes markers for all important stuff, currently the lsit is as follows: riftgates, entrances and exits, shrines, notable chests and enemies, bounties, nemeses, super bosses, friendly NPCs, rogue dungeon entrances, detonation and repair sites, levers and dynamite locations.If you click on a riftgate or on a devotion shrine, you will be navigated to its location. By default the world overview map is shown (in game it’s called World Map, I just call it “overview” internally). ![]() Of course you’ll have to wait until map tiles are loaded if they aren’t cached already, but for now it seems to load pretty fast, unless of course you have crappy download speed. It’s pretty fast, all the necessary data (just around 500kb) without images is fetched on page load, so all transitions between areas, search, etc.I don’t wanna diminish the value of maphack, it’s a really good resource, I’m just stating this for comparison sake. This means that compared to maphack, which has some stuff missing and I believe is built manually, grimtools map is always up-to-date and shows reliable data. First of all like all my other tools, the map is built automatically from the game data.I admit that it took longer than expected, but personally it was rather fun and challenging at times, and I’m quite happy with the outcome Hey guys! There are Rifts already marked on the largest version of the Map, I'm referring to those here as Location Rifts. Exploring is fun and easy to do in this game, so it isn't a big deal either way. Working up to the next location's Rift, and you know where to start next time, if you want. If you clear out your Rift's area, then just cast another nearer to the Rifts you find, and clear out that area, you have basically a map marker on the map. So my Personal Rift stays up as a marker. I clear the area around my local Portal, and either use another Rift or run back and then return another way or vice-versa. I then can use them to note where I am, like a rudimentary method of triangulation. What I sometimes do, in order to aid orientation, is I set my own Personal Rift up, then I note where the other Rifts or Portals to locations are, if I have found them already. (I confuse a bit Titan Quest and Grim Dawn, since I often will alternate playing them, but in most mechanics they are the same) Otherwise, it stays up, I think maybe even upon reloading the game. It will only be removed once you use it both ways, if I remember correctly. You could set your own personal Portal or Rift up. Don't know how its possible to miss Burial Hill since its a giant graveyard. Thats the reason I played path of exile for 200 hours it was straight map it didnt show you were the quest was but you could find it since you can really veer off too far with out hitting the edge but grim dawn doesnt do any of that when im at the objective it says nothing I missed the area 5 times before finding it For the majority of quests once you get close enough a Star will appear on your map. Granted I get what you mean, but Grim Dawn as is won't do it. There's a lot of hidden stuff that you can also find via the maps above. But definitely try and explore the whole area at least once. pretty much just keep going north (in the case of Act 1), and keep going west (in the case of Act 2). it's possible you might need to explore more. Diablo 2 was like this also, only Grim Dawn's areas are not randomized. but they only have one entrance and one exit, like a string of popcorn.
